Damage Waiver

A damage waiver is a small, non-refundable fee a guest pays instead of a refundable security deposit. In exchange, accidental damage up to a defined limit is covered, sparing both sides the friction of holding and releasing a large deposit.

Waivers smooth the booking experience and reduce disputes over deposit refunds, but they shift the burden to clear documentation: knowing the property's condition at each turnover is still what determines whether a claim is accidental, excluded, or beyond the cap.
