Minimum Night Stay
A minimum night stay is the smallest number of nights a guest is allowed to book. Hosts set it to avoid the disproportionate turnover cost and operational churn of very short stays, and adjust it by season, day of week, or lead time.
It is a balancing act: a higher minimum reduces cleaning frequency and wear but shrinks the pool of bookable guests, lowering occupancy. Many operators relax the minimum to fill last-minute gaps and tighten it during peak demand — a pattern that pairs naturally with dynamic pricing.
