Direct Booking
A direct booking is a reservation a guest makes straight with the operator, typically through a branded booking website, rather than through an OTA like Airbnb.
Direct bookings avoid platform commission, give operators ownership of the guest relationship and data, and reduce reliance on any single channel. The tradeoff is that the operator must generate their own demand and handle payments, screening, and support themselves.
