Smart Home Technology
Smart home technology refers to the connected devices operators install in a short-term rental: keypad or smart locks for self check-in, thermostats, noise and occupancy sensors, and exterior cameras. Together they automate access, manage energy, and flag problems early.
The hardware only pays off when it's wired into the rest of the operation — a code that's generated and sent at the right moment, a noise alert that reaches the right person. The value is less in the device than in the coordination around it.
